Busard, Hub. L.L., "Über eine Vorlage des Traktats Algorismus de minutiis von Johannes de Lineriis", Sudhoffs Archiv, 82/1 (1998), 74-91.
- Resum
- All the manuscripts containing the treatise on fractions with the incipit: Minutiarum vulgarium scribes superius numeratorem… are anonymous except one, London, Brit. Libr. Harley 3735, ascribing the treatise to a Magister Ricardus Anglicus. It belongs to the thirteenth century and is written after the Algorithmus demonstratus (ascribed to a Magister Gernardus), since some of its rules are cited by the author at the end of his treatise. However, it was written before the Algorithmus de minutiis of Johannes de Lineriis who used it to compose his work which was very popular in the Middle Ages. The original text of the treatise is now published for the first time.
