- This document lays out a series of points in regard to a recently posted pre-print on the history of plague in late medieval and early modern Europe: Marcel Keller et al., “A Refined Phylochronology of the Second Plague Pandemic in Western Eurasia.” I am a historian of medicine and I am presenting these as historical questions. I have written it in the first-person as a personal query to Dr Keller. However, since his pre-print is publicly posted and since these questions about the most severe pandemic in human history are necessarily of concern to a broad number of readers, I am posting this document publicly on both my Academia.edu and my Humanities Commons websites.
